Local teams, in-house expertise and a global supply chain built to deliver for our customers.
At BlueBox, delivering a smart locker system is only part of what we do. The people behind it; from product design and software development to assembly, installation and ongoing support, are just as important.
That’s why we continue to invest in the capabilities we believe make a difference to our customers: experienced local teams, in-house development and design, local assembly, and a carefully managed global supply chain.
Local Service, Backed by In-House Teams
Reliable service starts with having the right people close to our customers.
BlueBox serves customers across Eastern and Western Canada, with full-time sales, installation and customer support staff at our offices. By investing in local teams, we keep expertise close to the customers we serve and maintain direct responsibility throughout the customer experience.
From initial delivery and installation to ongoing technical support, BlueBox employees are involved every step of the way.
Maintaining local, in-house teams requires significant ongoing investment, but it also gives us greater control over service quality. When a customer needs help, our installation, support and development teams can work together to understand the issue and find a solution.
We make that investment because choosing BlueBox means more than choosing a smart locker system. It means choosing a team that will be there to support it for years to come.
In-House Design, Shaped by Customer Needs
Our investment in local expertise extends to the products themselves.
BlueBox brings software development and industrial design together in-house, allowing our teams to collaborate closely and respond directly to customer needs.
In 2024, our BlueBox smart locker system received the Red Dot Award: Design Concept – Best of the Best, one of the competition’s highest distinctions for outstanding design.
BlueBox is the only parcel locker company in North America to have received this honour. For us, that recognition reflects years of investment in building our own design and development capabilities and creating products around how our customers actually use them.
Our lockers are designed with modular construction, flexible configurations and straightforward assembly, allowing them to adapt to different spaces, applications and operational requirements.
Our entire product range, from parcel and key lockers to shared-item and bicycle lockers, is designed by our team. Keeping these capabilities in-house gives us the flexibility to adapt our products to different customer requirements and environments.
We continually refine our designs around what matters in everyday use: straightforward installation, intuitive operation, easy maintenance and long-term reliability.
Our designers, developers and field service teams work closely together, turning customer feedback and what we learn in the field into practical product improvements.
This approach has helped us earn the trust of organizations across a wide range of sectors, including colleges and universities, government departments and law enforcement agencies.
Global Sourcing, Local Assembly: Transparency Matters
Like many technology companies, BlueBox operates within a global supply chain. We believe being transparent about that supply chain is just as important as being proud of the work we do locally.
BlueBox sources from suppliers across North America and Asia, with final assembly completed at our Vancouver facility.
We select our suppliers based on quality, reliability and cost, allowing us to deliver dependable products at competitive prices. At the same time, key capabilities, including product design, software development, final assembly, installation and customer support, remain with our in-house teams.
Our global supply chain is a strength. It gives us access to the manufacturing capabilities and components we need, while our local teams provide the expertise, oversight and accountability needed to consistently deliver quality products and service.
As a business with a BBB A+ rating, we consider transparency and accountability fundamental to how we operate. Customers deserve clear information about where their products come from and who is responsible at each stage.
That’s also why we choose to be specific about what “local” means at BlueBox.
Our products are designed, developed and assembled by our teams in North America, supported by a global supplier network.
We believe that distinction matters. Rather than simply applying a “locally made” label to products manufactured through overseas contract factories, we want our customers to understand exactly where BlueBox invests locally and where our global partners contribute.
Continuing to Invest in North America
As BlueBox grows, we will continue strengthening our global supplier network, developing the next generation of our products and investing in the people and facilities that support our customers.
That means continuing to build our local design, development, assembly, installation and customer support capabilities while creating more local jobs as our business grows.
Our global supply chain helps us compete. Our in-house expertise helps us innovate. And our local teams help us deliver the level of service our customers expect.
BlueBox was founded in North America, is rooted in North America, and will continue to invest in and serve North America.
